2 die in bomb attack in Mahmudiya

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday, that 11 people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast in southern Baghdad.

The source said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “This morning, a bomb exploded near a popular market in the district of Mahmudiya in southern Baghdad, killing two people and wounding nine others.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added, “A security force rushed to the area and transferred the wounded to Mahmudiyah Hospital for treatment and the dead bodies to the forensic medicine department, while tough measures had been taken in anticipation of the presence of other bombs.”

2 Iraqi militia die in bombing at Abu Ghraib

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior revealed on Tuesday, that six members of al-Hashed al-Shaabi were either killed or wounded in a bomb blast targeted their patrol in western Baghdad.

The source said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “This morning, a bomb exploded targeting a patrol of al-Hashed al-Shaabi members in the district of Abu Ghraib (20 West km of Baghdad), killing two of its members and wounding four others, as well as causing material damage to the vehicle.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added, “A security force rushed to the area and evacuated the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the dead bodies to the forensic medicine department, while a raid was carried out to search for the perpetrators of the bombing.”

3 Iraqi truckers die in attack on Baghdad-Baqubah road

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday, a police source revealed, that three truck drivers were killed in an armed attack launched by gunmen on Baghdad-Baqubah road.

The source said in a brief statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “This evening, unidentified gunmen stopped three truck drivers on Baghdad-Baqubah road and shot them, killing them on the spot.”

The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, “A security force rushed to the incident area and transferred the dead bodies to the forensic medicine department.”

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday, that nine people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast southeast of Baghdad.

The source said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “A bomb exploded near a popular restaurant in old Diyala Bridge area southeast of Baghdad, killing one person and wounding eight others.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added, “A security force rushed to the area and evacuated the wounded to Mahmudiyah Hospital to receive treatment and the dead body to the forensic medicine department, while imposed a security cordon around the area of the incident.”
