Iraqi forces down ISIS drone in Salahuddin
(IraqiNews.com) Salahaddin – On Monday, a security source in Salahuddin Province announced, that a security force was able to drop a drone belonging to the so-called ISIS in eastern Tikrit (170 km north of Baghdad).The source said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “A security force from oil facilities protection regiment in Ajil oil field (40 km east of Tikrit) dropped a drone while hovering around the field,” pointing out that, “It was found out that the drone is a hostile aircraft used by ISIS for espionage purposes.” The source, who asked anonymity, added, “The force fired the drone and was able to drop it near Ajil field in eastern Tikrit.” Posted by: badanov 2016-05-17 |
