 2 die in market bomb attack in al-Amin (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday, that nine people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast near a popular market in eastern Baghdad. The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “This morning, a bomb exploded near a popular market in al-Amin area in eastern Baghdad, killing two people and wounding seven others,” pointing out that, “Ambulances rushed to the area and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the dead bodies to the forensic medicine department.” The source, who asked anonymity, added, “A security force cordoned off the area of the incident and barred approaching it.” 11 die in bombing attack in al-Shaab (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday, Baghdad Operations Command announced, that the explosion that took place in al-Shaab District northeast of Baghdad was carried out by a female suicide bomber with the use of an improvised explosive device, while pointed out that 48 people were either killed or wounded in the explosion. Baghdad Operations Command spokesman, Brigadier General Saad Maan, said in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The terrorist attack that took place near the 4000th market in al-Shaab District northeast of Baghdad was carried out by a female suicide bomber with the use of an improvised explosive device.” Maan added, “The preliminary number of casualties reached 11 dead and 37 injured, based on information obtained from the Ministry of Health,” indicating that, “The toll is expected to increase because of the intensity of the bombing.” 1 dead in bomb attack near al-Rashid (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi piolice said on Tuesday, that a person had been killed and another was injured in a bomb blast that took place in the area of al-Rashid south of Baghdad.
