Shibir leader accused in RU Prof Rezaul killing dies
 [Dhaka Tribune] A Shibir leader, an accused in the Rajshahi University Professor AFM Rezaul Karim Siddique killing case, has died at a hospital in Rajshahi.Hafizur Rahman, 21, died around 4:30am on Thursday at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, its Deputy Director Dr Gazi Saiful Alam Chowdhury said. "He had been battling anaemia," the doctor said. "This led to respiratory problems and cardiac arrest." In the end it's always cardiac arrest, isn't it? The Shibir leader, who studied public administration at RU, was admitted to the hospital on May 17 after he had fallen sick in prison. RMCH authorities said they would hand over the body to his family after a post-mortem examination. Hafizur, a local Shibir leader, was tossed in the slammer You have the right to remain silent... in Bongram on April 23. He had been in prison since his four-day police interrogation last month. Prof Rezaul was hacked to death near his home in Rajshahi on April 23. His son filed a case without naming anyone. The case was handed over to the detective branch.
