Eight suspects detained after killing of traffic cops in Karachi
[NATION.PK] At least eight suspects were apprehended from an apartment near Water Pump area of Bloody Karachi...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... following killing of two traffic cops on Saturday. According to our correspondent, police and Rangers jointly raided Nawaz Court apartment located near Water Pump area and detained eight suspects. The police also seized a computer. The suspects were taken to undisclosed location for interrogation. Earlier, two traffic constables were rubbed out in a drive-by attack under aw flyover near Aisha Manzil. According to eyewitnesses, gunnies on cycle of violences attacked the traffic constables and sped away. Both the traffic constables, identified as Shakil and Akram, were shot in the head, resulting in their sudden death.
