Iraqi forces capture al-Zaban

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Saturday, Fallujah District Council in Anbar Province announced liberating a new area in western Fallujah (62 km west of Baghdad) from the ISIS control and raising the Iraqi flag over its buildings.

The spokesperson for the council, Salam Ajami, said in a press statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The joint security forces managed, at noon, to liberate Sen al-Zaban area from the ISIS control and raise the Iraqi flag over its buildings.”

“The ISIS members withdrew from Sen al-Zaban area to al-Halabesa area in western Fallujah, which will witness the launch of an extensive military operation in the coming few hours in order to free it and advance into the [area] of the Old Fallujah Hospital,” Ajami added.

Earlier toda, Joint Operations Command announced launching military operations to liberate the central areas of Fallujah from the ISIS control.

Iraqi forces capture 2 more areas near Fallujah

(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – President of Khalediya District Council, Ali Dawood, announced on Friday that al-Subaihat and al-Fallahat, towards the west of Fallujah, have been liberated from ISIS control.

Dawood, in a statement issued to the media, said, “This morning security forces and clans, carrying out an extensive military operation, managed to liberate al-Subaihat and al-Fallahat situated towards the west of Fallujah city. The forces also successfully raised the Iraqi flag over a number of buildings in the two areas.”

Adding further, he said, “The liberation was made after the security forces gunned down a number of ISIS members, while a few others were forced to flee towards the center of Fajullah. The forces have gained complete control of the two regions.”

20 ISIS Bad Guys die near Haditha

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – The leadership of al-Hashd al-Shaabi in Anbar province announced on Friday that at least (20) ISIS members including four suicide bombers were killed during the liberation battles in Haditha near west of Anbar.

The intelligence director of al-Somoud brigade in Haditha, Lieutenant Colonel Nazim al-Jaghafi, in a statement said, “The joint security forces conducted a military operation against ISIS strongholds in order to liberate the areas near Haditha district and during the operation twenty (20) ISIS members including four suicide bombers wearing explosive belts were killed.”

Jaghafi added, “The security forces also managed to destroy four vehicles carrying weapons and mortar detachment in al-Sakra area during the liberation battles northwest of Haditha.”

Iraqi forces capture Albu Sanaa

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – The Local Council of Amiriyah Fallujah in Anbar province announced on Saturday that the security forces liberated Albu Sanaa area in southern Fallujah from ISIS grip and raised the Iraqi flag over its buildings, adding that twelve (12) ISIS members were killed during the operation.

The head of the security committee of Amiriyah Fallujah Local Council Khodier al-Rashed, in a statement issued to the media and also obtained by IraqiNews.com, said, “At noon today, the joint security forces managed to liberate Albu Sanaa area completely from the ISIS control and raised the Iraqi flag over its buildings,”

“During the operation, twelve (12) ISIS members were also gunned down by the security forces,” Rashed further stated in the statement.

Adding further, Rashed said, “The security forces from the army and police are advancing into the southern areas of Fallujah to meet the military troops currently positioned at the western sides of the city in order to storm into central Fallujah in the next few hours.”

Iraqis capture Albu Elwan Bridge

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Saturday, Anbar Provincial Council announced liberating an area in western Fallujah from ISIS control, while the leadership of al-Hashd al-Shaabi emphasized the liberation of Albu Elwan Bridge towards the western side of the city.

The Head of the security committee in Anbar Provincial Council Rajee barakat al-Eissawi in a statement, also obtained by IraqiNews.com, said, “The security forces managed to liberate al-Nisaf area in western Fallujah from ISIS control. The operation resulted in the killing of ten (10) ISIS members and the destruction of three booby-trapped vehicles, as well as detonating a truck carrying large quantity of weapons and rockets.”

Meanwhile the commander of the 2nd regiment of Fallujah Shield brigade Colonel Orans Mohamed al-Eissawi said, “The security forces were also able to liberate Albu Elwan Bridge and raised the Iraqi flag over it,” adding that, “15 ISIS members were killed during the operations.”

“The joint forces are searching the areas around Albu Elwan Bridge to secure the passage of the military troops to al-Halabesa area in western Fallujah in order to liberate it from the ISIS control,” Eissawi added.
