The source told reporters in a statement followed by Iraqi News, “At noon, an explosive device that was planted on the road side in the area of Arab Jabour, south of Baghdad, has went off while an army patrol was passing in [the area], resulting in the injury of three soldiers.” The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, “The explosion also resulted in damage to a Hummer vehicle, while the injured were transferred to the hospital to receive medical treatment.” 1 dead in Baghdad city bomb attack (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday, Iraqi Ministry of Interior revealed, that eight (8) people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast in central Baghdad. In a press statement, a copy of which was received by Iraqi News, it was stated, “This morning, a bomb exploded in al-Shiekh Omar Street in central Baghdad, killing one person and injuring seven others.” “A security force rushed to the incident area and evacuated the wounded to a nearby hospital to receive treatment and the body of the dead person to the forensic medicine department.
