ISIS prepares defense of Mosul behind bridges
(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – A security source in Nineveh province said on Friday, that ISIS fighters closed key bridges in the city of Mosul using concrete blocks in anticipation of military operations on the city.According to information shared by the source to IraqiNews.com, “Today, elements of ISIS cut off some of the bridges in the city of Mosul using concrete blocks,” noting that, “Those bridges included the al-Khamis Bridge leading to the Dandan and Dobat neighborhoods in central [Mosul].” The information added, “The objectives of closing the bridges is to separate the areas from each other in anticipation of any possible military operation launched by the security forces on the city.” Posted by: badanov 2016-06-25 |
