Iraqi and US-lead forces destroy ISIS targets west of Ramadi

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – The commander of al-Jazeera Operations, Major General Qassim al-Mohamadi, stated that a weapons cache belonging to ISIS was destroyed and four terrorists were killed in a coalition air strike west of Ramadi.

Mohamadi said “The international coalition air force destroyed a weapons cache and a mortar detachment and killed 4 ISIS members in al-Dolab area west of Heet (70 km west of Ramadi).”

Security forces and tribal fighters presently control the Heet District after liberating it from ISIS occupation 2 months ago.

Anbar Operations: 76 ISIS fighters killed in Zankoura

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – Anbar Operations Command informed that 76 ISIS members have been killed in the liberation battles of Zankoura northwest of Ramadi.

The commander of Anbar Operations Major General Ismail al-Mahalawi, in a statement issued to the media, said, “76 ISIS members have been killed during the liberation battles of Zankoura, northwest of Ramadi. The terrorists were killed by the security forces backed by the international coalition aviation, Iraqi Air Force and Army Aviation.”

'Babel-Anbar borders secured’

(IraqiNews.com) Babel – Babel Operations Command announced that its borders along Anbar Province have been completely secured.

Commander of Babel Operations Major General Riyad al-Khikani in a press statement, said, “The borders between babel and Anbar towards al-Fadiliya have been completely secured,”

“The border has been reinforced with troops of the Commando Regiment and Federal Police, as well as members of al-Hashd al-Shaabi,” he added.

Khikani further said, “Security forces are controlling the area and conducted military operations in the last two months, which resulted in the arrest of eight persons. The arrested individuals were charged of terrorism.”

Military operation to liberate Zankoura launched

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – The commander of Anbar Operations Major General Ismail al-Mahalawi announced, that military operation to liberate Zankoura north of Ramadi has been launched. The operation is backed by the international coalition aviation.

Mahalawi, in a press statement, said, “This morning, troops of the army’s 16th brigade, Anbar Police Tactical regiment and the anti-terrorism forces began an operation to liberate Zankoura north of Ramadi from the ISIS control.”

“The operation is being backed by the international coalition aviation and Iraqi Army Aviation,” Mahalawi added.
