One killed, one injured in Yala ambush
[Bangkok Post] A defense volunteer was killed and a village chief seriously injured when they were ambushed by gunmen in Yala province on Monday. Asae Nikong, a village chief in Bannang Sata district, and Saman Sophap, a member of the village defense team, were traveling by motorcycle when attacked by gunmen hiding on both sides of the road.
