Fallujah Urban Renewal Continues
FALLUJAH: US warplanes unleashed a series of strikes in the rebel-held city of Fallujah overnight on buildings believed to be linked to Islamic militant Abu Mussab al-Zarqawi's network, the military said on Tuesday. "Several Abu Musab al-Zarqawi safe houses and weapons storage facilities in southern Fallujah were struck this evening as part of continued operations to thwart the Zarqawi terrorist network plans to attack the Iraqi government and its people during Ramadan," it said in a statement.Posted by: Steve 2004-10-19 |
