ALP commander killed during gun battle with Taliban in Laghman
 [Khaama (Afghanistan)] A commander of the Afghan Local Police (ALP) forces was killed during a shootout with the Talibs in eastern Laghman province, local officials said Sunday.The incident took place late on Saturday afternoon in the vicinity of Mehtarlam city, the quiet provincial capital of Laghman province. Provincial governor’s front man Sarhadi Zwak confirmed ALP Syed Ahmad was killed during a clash with the Talibs in Hakimabad area of the city. He did not provide furhter information regarding the incident but reports suggest at least two ALP forces were also killed during the clash. The anti-government armed murderous Moslem groups have not commented regarding the report so far. This comes as the provincial council chief was maimed in an kaboom in Mehtarlam city three days ago. According to the local officials, at least one person was also killed and several others were maimed in the attack. Taliban Lions of Islam and faceless myrmidons belonging to other krazed killer groups are active in a number of the remote districts of Laghman province where they often carry out insurgency activities.
