Commander of Anbar Operations Major General Ismail al-Mahalawi said, “Security forces carried out a proactive military operation targeting a hideout of ISIS members in Wadi al-Shioukh area that is located between al-Tharthar basin in northern Ramadi and the borders of the liberated Khalidiya Island.” “The operation resulted in the killing of 33 ISIS members who were planning to target the security forces in Khalidiya Island in eastern Ramadi,” Mahalawi added. 20+ ISIS Turbans toes up near al-Kasyrat (IraqiNews.com) Anbar – Jazeera and Badiya Operations Command announced that tens of ISIS members were killed in air strikes carried out by Iraqi aircraft west of Ramadi. Commander of Jazeera and Badiya Operations Major General Qassim al-Mohamadi said, “Iraqi Air Force and Army Aviation this morning carried out air strikes on ISIS headquarters at Barwana and al-Kasyrat west of Ramadi, based on accurate intelligence information, killing tens of ISIS members.” Mohamadi added, “The air strikes also resulted in the destruction of a cache of weapons and a mortar detachment at al-Kasyrat in northern Heet. Three vehicles equipped with weapons were also diffused in Barwana west of Anbar.” “The joint forces are continuing the liberation battles of the western areas of Anbar,” he added.
