Rangers bust slave ring in Punjab
KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Sunday claimed to have busted a gang allegedly involved in the kidnapping of women from Punjab province.A contingent from the Ranger’s Special Task Force and the paramilitary force conducted a raid in Jacobabad after receiving an intelligence tip off, and arrested two individuals involved in kidnapping women belonging to Punjab province, said a Rangers spokesperson. “The held suspects, identified as Punhal and Rajab, had kidnapped two women from Multan,” stated the spokesperson. He added the women were brought to Jacobabad and a ransom was demanded from their relatives. The kidnapped women’s relatives approached the Rangers who conducted the targeted raid and recovered the both women, who were handed over to their families.
