Syrian Army, Hezbollah begin counter-attack in southern Aleppo
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah launched a counter-attack at the 1070 Al-Hamdaniyah Housing Project tonight, targeting the remaining buildings that are under the control of Jaish Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) inside Aleppo City.Led by the Republican Guard, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah stormed Jaish Al-Fateh’s defenses tonight after the latter failed to advance during their large-scale offensive around the picturesque provincial capital. A military source inside Aleppo City told Al-Masdar News on Monday night that the Syrian Armed Forces are steadily advancing inside the 1070 Housing Project; and that it could be captured by dawn, if the jihadist rebels fail to reinforce the southern parts of this district. While the Syrian Armed Forces advance on the ground, the Russian Air Force is pounding the jihadist rebels along the Idlib-Aleppo axis; this rural area is the location of Jaish Al-Fateh’s main supply line to the picturesque provincial capital.
