Attack on Army convoy kills 3, Hizbul owns up
 [Indian Express] In the first krazed killer attack on an Army convoy in the Valley since the July 8 killing of Hizbul Mujahideen krazed killer Burhan Wani, two Army personnel and a coppers were killed and five soldiers injured Wednesday. The Hizbul Mujahideen grabbed credit.The convoy was attacked on the Srinagar-Baramulla highway in the early hours of the day near Khawaja Bagh in Baramulla. The attack site is barely 50 metres from the Army’s TCP post and not far from the office of the General Officer Commanding, 19 Infantry Division. A senior police officer said at least three Death Eaters were involved in the attack. "This could be the handiwork of Jaish-e-Mohammad ...literally Army of Mohammad, a Pak-based Deobandi terror group founded by Maulana Masood Azhar in 2000, after he split with the Harkat-ul-Mujaheddin. In 2002 the government of Pervez Musharraf bannedthe group, which changed its name to Khaddam ul-Islam and continued doing what it had been doing before without missing a beat... Death Eaters who have presence in the area,’’ the officer said. Hizbul Mujahideen, however, grabbed credit for the attack. A front man of the krazed killer outfit told a local news agency that the attack was carried out by its special squad. He also warned of more attacks on security forces. On Tuesday evening, Death Eaters hurled a grenade on the Kakapora cop shoppe in Pulwama district that left five coppers injured. The Khawaja Bagh attack was the third by Death Eaters since August 15. In an attack at Nowhatta in Srinagar Monday, a CRPF commandant and two Death Eaters were killed and nine personnel injured.
