Iraqi forces begin important offensive in Al-Ramadi
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (Hashd Al-Sha’abi) kicked off the second phase of their offensive to liberate the last two Islamic State bastions in east Al-Ramadi.The military commander of the Al-Anbar operations told Sumariya TV on Friday that the Popular Mobilization Forces stormed the Albu Kanaan region, where they are currently involved in a fierce battle with the Islamic State terrorists. Albu Kanaan and Kartan are the two remaining Islamic State bastions in the eastern countryside of Al-Ramadi that have not been liberated by the Iraqi Armed Forces.
