US Identifies SF Soldier Killed in Action in Afghanistan
 [Mil.Com] The U.S. Defense Department has identified the soldier killed in action on Tuesday in Afghanistan as Army Staff Sgt. Matthew V. Thompson.Thompson, 28, of Irvine, California, was assigned to Company A, 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, the Pentagon announced in a release Wednesday.
