Local leader gunned down in southern Thailand
 [Bangkok Post] A local leader was shot dead in full view of many villagers at a tea shop in Pattani province on Saturday morning. The shooting occurred at the shop in Yaring district.Abdulloh Seedeh, kamnan of tambon Takae, was drinking tea with some other local residents when he was attacked by a group of four men aboard a pickup truck, witnesses said. The men stopped their vehicle in front of the shop and some of them sprayed bullets from M16 rifles at Abdulloh, forcing other villagers to flee.
