3 die in ISIS artillery attack in Anbar

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – Heet District Council announced that three women were killed and tree men injured in an ISIS shelling west of Ramadi.

The Head of Heet Council Mohamed al-Hiti said, “This morning, ISIS shelled Hayy al-Moalemeen area in central Heet with ‘Hell Cannons’ from Khalidiyah Island, killing three women and wounding three men.”

Hiti added, “We called security leaders and the central government to liberate Heet Island but there is no response or movement to eliminate the strongholds of ISIS in order to ensure and guarantee the safety of innocent civilians.”

ISIS destroys 26 residences in Mosul

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – A source in Nineveh police informed that ISIS detonated about 26 houses of policemen to the south of Mosul.

Sharing details the source informed, “ISIS detonated 26 houses of policemen in Nineveh in Hamam al-Alil after evacuating the houses completely.”

“The detonation of houses caused great damage to other civilians’ houses. Six persons, including three children, were injured severely,” added the source.

1K return to areas in Ninevah abandoned by ISIS

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – Nearly 1,000 civilians have returned to their localities, despite of destroyed houses and public service infrastructure, after the Iraqi security forces ousted ISIS from Qayyarah, south of Mosul.

Member of Nineveh provincial council, Barakat Shamo, speaking to Iraqi News said, “Nearly 1,000 families have so far returned to their homes in Qayyarah, where the residential buildings and city infrastructure have been almost turned to ruins.”

“The families who have returned were left homeless during the liberation operations in Qayyarah. They were received by Kurdistan Region and sheltered in Dibaga IDP camp,” Shamo added.

“Qayyarah’s liberation, has further arose a hope for the citizens of Mosul. Stepping up the efforts to free central Mosul will encourage more people to rehabilitate their areas,” he added further.

Shamo also called on the Iraqi government to provide immediate assistance to the city as the public service infrastructure and thousands of civilian properties are destroyed due to the confrontations.

ISIS Getting the Hell Outta Dodge in advance of Iraqi's arrival

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – Local government member of Kirkuk province has confirmed that the ISIS militants have begun to flee from Hawija with their families towards Nineveh and Sharqat.

Tahseen Kahiea said, “al’Hashed al-Sha’bi forces will take part in the liberation of the district. They are stationed with the security forces in Salahuddin and will advance by Rashad’s highway to participate in the liberation of Hawija.”

Kahiea added, “Hawija district became almost terrorists-free, while the international coalition aircrafts have bombed sites belonging to ISIS organization and killed 18 of them.”
