ISIS attacks Iraqi Army at Tanf border-crossing
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Islamic State...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) carried out a powerful assault near the Syrian border on Tuesday, targeting the Iraqi Army controlled Tanf Crossing in the al-Anbar Governorate. ISIS began the assault by attempting to overrun the Iraqi Army’s checkpoints near this strategic border-crossing; however, they were unsuccessful after a short battle. The terrorist group attempted to hype up the battle by posting pictures of their personnel with heavy weapons, but this did very little to change the outcome of the firefight. The Tanf Crossing is located near the Homs Governorate of Syria; this area was used by the terrorist group in the past, but they have since lost control of it. Posted by: Fred 2016-09-09 |
