2 political workers killed in landmine blast in Balochistan
QUETTA: Two people were killed in a landmine explosion in Balochistan's restive Naseerabad district on Wednesday, it has been learnt.The incident happened when a motorbike hit a landmine planted on the roadside in Puleji area of Naseerabad district, police officials said. The officials said the victims Ghullam Rasool Gola and Mehmood Gola, the workers of Pakistan People’s Party, were travelling on their motorbike when it hit the landmine. Ghullam Rasool died on the spot while Mehmood succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital. Following the blast, police personnel reached the spot as investigation into the incident went underway. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack. In the meantime, PPP’s Central Executive Committee member Mir Sadiq Umrani strongly condemned the incident and demanded of the provincial government to bring the perpetrators to book.
