Charlotte, NC man shot by police was sold stolen gun
[CHARLOTTE WTVD] -- The gun that Keith Scott had on him during the deadly shooting was reported stolen after a breaking and entering, police said.No mention of the fact he was a convicted felon who should not have had a firearm in his possession. The breaking and entering suspect told ATF Agents that he sold the gun to Scott. The suspect is in custody. Scott's wife filed a domestic violence protective order on him in 2015 saying he hit his child, kicked her and threatened to kill them with his gun, ABC affiliate WSOC reported Monday evening. Video of Scott being shot by officers was released on Saturday. Police also released images of a gun, holster, and marijuana they say were recovered from the scene.
