At least 3 people are confirmed killed and 15 others were injured in a heavy bombardment in Qoryoley district in Lower Shabelle region, 120Km south of Mogadishu, police said.The barrage came after Al shabaab has fired salvo mortar shells at AMISOM bases in the outskirts of Qoryoley, according to the city’s police boss who spoke to Radio Shabelle. Local residents said AMISOM responded the attack with mortar bombing that rained down on the town, killing at least three unarmed civilians after their houses were hit by shells. AMISOM said the people who have been wounded in the bombardment were taken to their military hospitals for medical treatment.
