Syrian Army captures Russian Regiment Base in northern Hama
[ ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued their large-scale counter-offensive in the northern Hama countryside on Tuesday, targeting the key town of Souran and the nearby Russian Regiment Base.Led by the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army established full control over the Russian Regiment Base this afternoon, killing several members of Jaish al-Izzah ... Army of Glory, Syrian rebel group affiliated with the Free Syrian Army active in northwestern Syria, mainly in the al-Ghab Plain in northern Hama and its surroundings. The group has been supplied with anti-tank missiles by the United States... and Ibna Al-Sham just north of recently captured Ma'ardes. Following the capture of the Russian Regiment Base, the Syrian Armed Forces advanced to the outskirts of Souran, where they were confronted by a large contingent of jihadist rebels at the town's eastern flank.
