Now Assisting the Authorities in their Inquiries
Afghan security forces have arrested eleven-suspected Taliban on the border between Helmand and Nimroz province, BBC reports. According to Nimroz officials, the arrests were made in a retaliatory attack of the security forces after Taliban's attack on security post. Meanwhile, Afghan Defence Ministry officials said that coalition and Afghan forces have stepped up joint operations against suspected Taliban in Deh Chopan district of Zabul province. Deh Chopan is considered a significant hideout of the suspected Taliban where constant operations are taking place. The operations involving hundreds of troops, armoured vehicles, helicopters and spy planes is expected to dismantle this hideout of the Taliban. However, Defence Ministry officials have not yet commented on the outcome of the operations.
