Eight soldiers hurt in clash with Abu Sayyaf
[Manila Bulletin] At least eight Philippine soldiers were injured in a clash with more or less 100 Abu Sayyaf militants in Sulu over the weekend.Military spokesman Filemon Tan disclosed eight government troops were hurt after the encounter that transpired in Panglayahan village, Patikul, on Sunday afternoon. Troops from the 21st Infantry Battalion led were on field military operations when they encountered around 100 Abu Sayyaf rebels.
