5 Taliban die in Nangarhar
At least five Taliban insurgents were killed in an attack on a police checkpost in eastern Nangarhar province on Sunday afternoon, local officials said. In addition, six other insurgents were injured.The attack took place in Surkhroad district of the province after a number of insurgents attacked the checkpost. However, security forces fought back, resulting in the deaths of some of the insurgents, Provincial Police Chief Sayed Gul Aqa Rohani said.
