2 die in Balochistan landmine attack
Two people, riding a motorcycle, were killed by a landline explosion in Balochistan's Dera Bugti district on Monday.The explosion took place in the Kathan area of the district, said Levies sources. "Two people riding a motorcycle were killed when the drove over a landmine," said a Levies official. Both people died on the spot, added the security officials. "Unknown miscreants had planted the landmine on the roadside to target people travelling on the road," said the Levies official. Security officials reached the site of the incident and started their investigations. There was no claim of responsibility. Balochistan has been experiencing incidents of violence and targeted killings for over a decade. The largest province of the country by area, is home to a insurgency by ethnic Baloch separatists.
