 Iraqi forces seize weapons in al-Subaihat and al-Falahat Anbar (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday, that the forces from the army’s 8th infantry brigade carried out search operations in the areas of al-Subaihat and al-Falahat, and found large quantities of weapons. The Ministry, in a press statement, said, “Under supervision of the brigade’s Commander, Major General Abdul Hussein Saud, forces from the army’s 8th infantry brigade carried out search operations in the areas of al-Subaihat and al-Falahat, and found large quantities of weapons.” “The operations resulted in seizing 27 explosive devices, 18 120 mm-mortar shells, 21 different mortar shells, 2 Jahannam rockets, 5 Jahannam Cannons, 4 cannon shells, 1 explosive barrel, ammunition, 3 Kalashnikov rifles and 9 detonators,” the statement explained. “The security forces also arrested five terrorists during the operations, as well as discovering a tunnel containing an anti-armor mine and 2 72 mm shells,” the statement further added.
