1 kop dies in bombing attack in Lashkargah city
Officials said a suicide car bomber targeted high-ranking officials traveling in a police Humvee in Lashkargah city, in Helmand, early Monday.Early reports indicated at least one police officer was killed and a number of others wounded. According to the provincial governor’s spokesman Omar Zwak police had been on their way to launch an operation to reopen the Kandahar-Lashkargah highway when the incident occurred.
