FSA groups capture large chunks of ISIL-held territory in northeast Damascus
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Free Syrian Army... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund... (FSA) launched a large-scale offensive in the northeastern countryside of Damascus last week, targeting the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... 's (ISIS) positions along the eastern slopes of the Qalamoun Mountains. Within a week, the Free Syrian Army managed to capture large chunks of the ISIS-held territory in the Badiyah area of northeast Damascus, forcing the aforementioned terrorist group to retreat deeper into the eastern slopes of the Qalamoun. This large Free Syrian Army force is comprised of several groups from the eastern countryside of Homs and Damascus, including Assoud al-Sharqiyah, Ahmad 'Abdo Brigade, Ahrar al-Asha'er, Maghawir al-Thoura, and the Qaraytayn Martyrs Brigade. According to some reports in northeastern Damascus, the Free Syrian Army has now entered the ISIS-held areas in the eastern Qalamoun from their positions in al-Badiyah; this cannot be confirmed at the moment.
