Marissa Mayer to Leave Yahoo Board; Yahoo to Change Name to Altaba
[WSJ] Yahoo Inc.’s Chief Executive Marissa Mayer and co-founder David Filo will step down from the board after the sale of its core business is completed, and the company will change its name to Altaba Inc., according to a regulatory filing.This seems like a bad move to me. Why dump the recognized trade name for something that sounds vaguely like Alibaba (and the forty thieves). I don't know about the rest of it, because it's behind the WSJ paywall...
