Four Taliban Insurgents Killed in Kapisa Operation
At least four Taliban insurgents were killed in north-eastern Kapisa province in an ongoing operation on Wednesday, local officials said.In addition, three other insurgents were injured. The operation was launched under name of “Ghubar 7” in the province a week ago and is still ongoing in Tagab district to clear all insurgents, a police security official, Mohammad Massoud Chardara, said. “On Wednesday, Peruzkhil and Sarkandeyan villages which were insecure were cleared of insurgents,” he said adding that “one policeman was killed and another injured during the operation after a roadside mine went-off.” In the meantime, the residents of Tagab said that more than a thousand families have been displaced due the ongoing operation and they need emergency assistance.
