Ft Lauderdale shooter 'visited jihadi chat rooms and practiced at the gun range months before murderous rampage'
- Esteban Santiago talked to jihadists on 'the deep web', a court heard Tuesday
- Prosecutors said he admitted it to FBI after first saying he was mind controlled
- He had also been practicing at an Alaska gun range before shooting, they said
- Santiago was in a detainment hearing; he is being held in solitary, without bail
- His arraignment is scheduled for January 30; he is currently on suicide watch
