Top NISA officer survives grenade attack in Baidoa
Suspected Al shabaab members have hurled a grenade bomb at the residence of a senior NISA officer in the southern strategic town of Baidoa on Saturday night, officials said.

Confirming the incident, Aden Ali better known as (Ali Arab) who is the deputy commissioner of Baidoa administration said the assailants fled the scene and a manhunt was underway. The officials blamed Al shabaab for the attempted assassination against the NISA officer.

The attack happened hours after a bomb at a police station in Jowhar city has killed the police commander of Middle Shabelle region Col. Khalif Abdulle Arfaye and his body guard.
