Tribesmen kill 13 militants in Yemen
 [OMANTRIBUNE] Yemeni rustics on Saturday killed 13 Al Qaeda rebels who had slipped back into a southern town hours after pulling out in the face of street protests, a security official said.The turbans had reemerged during the night and sought to take control of public buildings in the Abyan ...a governorate of Yemen. The region was a base to the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army terrorist group until it dropped the name and joined al-Qaeda. Its capital is Zinjibar. In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirateafter seizing control of the region. The New York Times fastidiously reported that those in control, while Islamic hard boyz, are not in fact al-Qaeda, but something else that looks, tastes, smells, and acts the same. Yemeni government forces launched an effort to re-establish control of the region when President-for-Life Saleh was tossed and the carnage continues... province town of Loder, the official said. They met with fierce resistance from armed residents and withdrew after shootouts lasting two hours. An expert in radical media said the footage by unknown bully boyz appeared to be part of videos first released by the turbans online some 10 years ago, undermining the Pentagon’s explanation about its value.
