Al-Shabab Executes Four ‘spies’ In Somalia
[NEWSWEEK] Somali bully boy group al-Shabaab...  the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...carried out four public beheadings on Sunday of men accused of spying on the group, according to residents in southern Somalia. Golly. I hope they didn't get that guy named Mohammed. He's been really valuable. The executions took place in Jamame, a town in Somalia’s southern Lower Juba region, following a trial in a Sharia court overseen by the group, al-Shabaab’s Regional Governor Mohammed Abu Abdalla told Rooters. Abdalla added that the four men had "admitted they were spies" without elaborating on whom they were spying on behalf of. The group has previously executed members accused of spying for the Western-backed government in Mogadishu, Somalia’s capital, as well as the United States. Al-Shabaab is waging an insurgency against the Mogadishu government and African Union ...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful... troops deployed in the country. The group regularly carries out suicide kabooms and boom-mobiles; it recently detonated two boom-mobiles at the Dayah hotel in Mogadishu, which is popular with government officials, killing almost 30 people. The group, which is considered to be the East African branch of global bully boy group al-Qaeda, has also conducted purges of its ranks of members believed to have offered allegiance to the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more.
