Egypt denies plan to resettle Palestinians in Sinai
[AA.TR] Egypt’s Foreign Ministry on Friday denied recent speculation that a plan had been hatched to resettle Paleostinians in the Sinai Peninsula with a view to establishing a Paleostinian state in Sinai and Gazoo."Sinai is Egyptian territory," ministry front man Ahmed Abu Zeid said in televised comments. The notion of resettling Paleostinians on the peninsula, he added, "has not at any stage been the subject of discussion between Egyptian and foreign officials". He went on to stress that Paleostinian aspirations for a state of their own could only be achieved through direct negotiations between Paleostinians and Israelis.
