Former Karachi TTP chief among eight killed in ‘encounter’
 [DAWN] A former Bloody Karachi...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... chief of the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP), a ’would-be jacket wallah’ and six other alleged forces of Evil were killed in an ’encounter’ with police on the outskirts of the city’s Malir area in the early hours of Wednesday, according to officials. The police also seized a ’laptop bomb’, weapons and ammunition from the dear departed following the exchange of fire that lasted half an hour in Rahimdad Goth near Malir’s Bakra Piri, the officials added. They said the police conducted a raid on the hideout of forces of Evil linked with banned Death Eater outfits, TTP and Jamaatul Ahrar ...A Pak Taliban splintergroup that split off from the Mullah Fazlullah faction because it wasn't violent enough... (JuA), who, according to intelligence agencies, were planning major terrorist acts at sensitive installations, said Malir SSP Rao Anwar. There are many sensitive installations in nearby areas such as Malir Courts, Landhi jail, better known as Malir prison, and Karachi airport, but it could not be determined immediately as to what their real target was, the officer explained.
