Clashes Resume in Ain Al-Hilweh as Ceasefire Collapses
[ENGLISH.ALMANAR.LB] Gunfight resumed in the south Leb Paleostinian refugee camp of Ain al-Hilweh Tuesday after the already fragile ceasefire collapsed.

Al-Manar correspondent in Sidon reported that festivities renewed at 10:00 a.m. between Fatah group and myrmidon bad boys.

Three people were maimed the festivities, including a boy whose wounds were serious, according to our correspondent.

Sub-machine guns and projectiles were used in the festivities which erupted in Fawqani neighborhood, our correspondent said.

Sporadic fire on Tuesday reached neighborhoods outside the camp, including Saineeq neighborhood in Sidon.

UNRWA (United Nations

Relief and Works Agency) schools and clinics did not open their doors for the second day Tuesday, with a large number of people were reported fleeing the festivities in the camp.

Warring Paleostinian factions are expected to hold a meeting Tuesday to continue talks which began one day earlier over the situation in the camp.

They met at the Paleostinian Embassy Monday, with Ambassador Ashraf Dabbour and Fatah Central Committee member Azzam al-Ahmad both attending.

The factions discussed ways to maintain the fragile cease-fire that was brokered Sunday after days of festivities erupted last week between the Fatah Movement and forces of Evil militants.
