Madrasa super arrested for attempted rape of a minor girl
[Dhaka Tribune] Police have nabbedKeep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please! a madrasa superintendent from Charbaria of Barisal for attempting to rape his daughter’s classmate, a 10-year-old girl. The detainee is Maulana Md Masum Billah, superintendent of Sapania Dakhil Madrasa. He hails from Kalapara of Patuakhali district, but used to live on the madrasa premises with his family. He was arrested from his house Friday morning soon after the girl’s father filed a complaint with Kaunia police. Police said the girl went to meet her classmate, who is a daughter of the accused, on Thursday afternoon. But no one except the accused was present in the house. "Maulana Masum tried to rape her at that time," Barisal Kaunia police’s Sub-Inspector Pabitra Kumar Mandal told the Dhaka Tribune quoting family members.
