Gander Mountain files Chapter 11, 32 stores going Tango Uniform
[Syracuse.com] The outdoor retailer Gander Mountain has filed for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11, and says it will close 32 stores as part its plan.The St. Paul-Minn. based company said it plans to remain open, but put the business up for sale. The New Hartford store is slated to close, according to a report by wmfj.com. The Cicero store will remain open as will locations in Binghamton and Watertown, according to the list. Gander Mountain operates 162 stores in 26 states. The 32 stores slated to close are underperforming, according to a statement by the company. They will begin shutting down in the next several weeks, the company said. The Cicero store opened in 2004.
