Commander of the army’s 7th brigade, Lieutenant General Numan Abd al-Zawei said in a press statement that Iraqi Sukhoi aircraft bombarded an explosive plant, a cache of weapons and a hideout belonging to the Islamic State in al-Karabla area in the city of Qaim. The aerial bombardment resulted in the full destruction of the explosive plant, cache of weapons and hideout, as well as killing and wounding dozens of the terrorist group, Zawei added. Zawei further explained that another air strike targeted a gathering of Death Eaters in al-Okashat area, north of Rutba, leaving dozens of casualties among the ranks of the Islamic State group.
