Washington sanctions 30 entities and individuals linked to Iran
 [ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The US administration has imposed sanctions on 30 foreign entities and individuals for transferring sensitive technology to Iran’s missile program or for violating export restrictions on the Islamic Theocratic Republic, North Korea, and Syria. The State Department announced in a statement on Friday "a group of eleven entities and individuals from China and North Korea were sanctioned for transfer of sensitive items for Iran’s ballistic missile program." According to the statement, nineteen entities or individuals were sanctioned for other violations under Iran, North Korea, and Syria Nonproliferation Act." It is believed that the entities and individuals have transferred or acquired sensitive technology that could contribute to the development of weapons of mass destruction, the State Department said.
