23 militants die in Logar
At least 23 insurgents were killed during a 20 day operation in central Logar province, the provincial governor's office said in a statement on Thursday.In addition, 28 other insurgents were injured. The operation was launched in Mohammad Agha, Barak-e-Barak and Charkh districts of the province and ended on Wednesday, the statement said adding that “during the operation the districts were cleared of insurgents.” “Twenty other insurgents were also arrested during the operation,” it said.
