Need to remove misconceptions about Islam stressed
 [DAWN] Imam-e-Ka’aba Sheikh Saleh Mohammad bin Talib on Saturday held separate meetings with President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif... served two non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf... and discussed with them relations between Pakistain and Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... and challenges facing Moslems across the globe. Both the president and the prime minister welcomed the Imam-e-Ka’aba and said Pakistain and Saudi Arabia were brotherly countries and their people had great religious and cultural relations. Relations between the two countries had become closer and stronger, they added. They said Islam is the religion of peace and called for making concerted efforts to remove misconceptions about it. President Hussain called for establishing an international group, comprising Ulema and religious scholars who should present the true picture of Islam in order to arrest the trend of extremism, said a blurb. He said the people and the government of Pakistain had great regard for Saudi Arabia which had always supported Pakistain on all important issues at regional and international forums, including the kingdom’s support to Pakistain on the Kashmire dispute.
