US-backed fighters foil ISIS attack east of Tabqa
[ALMASDARNEWS] The predominantly-Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have repelled an attack launched by the Islamic State...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... on Safsafeh village, located nearly 6 kilometers to the east of Tabqa (Al-Thawrah). ISIS turbans launched the assault from their stronghold of Tabqa city in a desperate attempt to lift the siege imposed by the Kurdish forces.
