Kurdish militias arrest Arab men, push further in forced displacement
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Powerful Kurdish PYD militia stormed an Arab village in the northeastern countryside of Raqqa city on Monday, arresting all men and humiliating the women, over claims they have links with ISIS.

Three people in al-Awad village were also maimed when the PYD opened fire on residents, local activists said.

Arabs-inhabited villages in northeastern Syria have been suffering brutal discrimination and forced displacement by Kurdish PYD and YPG militias.

Civilians in ISIS-held areas in northeastern province of Hasaka are not able to flee as festivities intensify between ISIS and the U.S.-backed Kurdish militias, activists said.

Malaz Yusef told Zaman al-Wasl that ISIS had prevented residents from leaving to Deir Ezzor, another ISIS-held areas.

The mostly Arab tribes fears arrest and conscription by the Syrian Democratic Forces, they prefer being under ISIS control but since the upper hand sways to SDF, people Of Markada villages seek a shelter in al-Mayadeen city, east of Deir Ezzor.
