Chittagong MP endorses killing of militants during raid
[Dhaka Tribune] A parliament member’s remarks on the role of law enforcement agencies to cap bad boy activities created such a row on Tuesday that a cabinet minister and the police chief had to step in to reiterate the administration’s counter-terrorism message.MP Nezamuddin said: "We have the best law enforcement agencies in the world. Because, you first caught the snuffies and then you killed them. No other law enforcement agency anywhere in the world could have done it." Chittagong-15 MP Dr Abu Reza Md Nezamuddin Nadwi made the remarks at a book launch organized by the Rapib Action Battalion at Lakeshore Hotel in Dhaka. The book launched at the event was published by RAB aiming to de-radicalise people by explaining Koranic verses with the help of the Islamic Foundation and other scholars.
